Grammy award-winning singer, Burna Boy has given an insight into how he felt performing at the NBA All-Stars Game in Salt Lake City, Utah on February 19 where he performed alongside fellow Nigerian artists Tems and Rema during the Halftime show.

Speaking during a courtside interview ahead of his performance, Burna Boy said that his life’s dream was to always play in the NBA but it never happened. Instead, he found himself entertaining the crowd as a special guest from Africa. He considers his All-Stars performance a dream come true in a different form.

“It’s a dream, it’s amazing, it’s like my dreams of playing in the NBA as a kid but you know, I got to perform at the NBA, I guess I made it either way,” he said.

Just before performing, he promised the crowd a taste of the African delight in a unique way where they don’t have to fly in person to Africa. He then got to the stage and unleashed three hits Last Last, It’s Plenty and Alone. The audience was eager for more Nigerian music by the time he began his final verse.

His half-time show follows a number of sold-out appearances he made in 2022. On June 3, 2023, as part of his "Love Damini" world tour, the African Giant will make history by being the first African musician to perform at the 60,000 capacity London Stadium.
