Ghanaian dancehall star Shatta Wale has touched off yet another fierce debate after describing Ghana’s music industry as a disgrace. The Dancehall artist recently slammed Ghanaian musicians saying they should take a lesson from Nigerians.

He noted that Ghanaians should take lessons from Nigerian show promoters and fans instead of stirring many arguments like they always see.

“Is better we stop arguing with Nigerian fans, promoters etc and ask for help. Me sef I need record label. Ghana music is a disgrace. Mek nobody lie you…Shouts to Naija. Ghana ppl too deh like,” read his fiery tweet.

His tweet elicited mixed reactions among his followers some of who weighed in on the matter with lots of logical explanations. Danilo99, a Shatta Wale follower, said the Nigerian secret to doing well in music is in how her artists market themselves.

“It's not even about the market. It's the mentality of an average Nigerian. Even with our large market our artiste still go out to different countries to promote their songs. That's to say if we have a small market we will also dominate. Nigerians are hustlers,” he explained.

Many people won't be surprised by his remark because he has already criticised the Ghanaian music industry. He criticised Ghanaian fans last year for not backing him after they made fun of him for sounding like Burna Boy in his tune "Cash Out."
