"Back in the day, we were in Covid-19. And I'm not the type of artist who sings just about anything and at any time. I'm very careful and target what I sing about. I avoid releasing bubble gum music that people will dispose of very fast after consumption. In case I'm to sing a song, even if it's one song per year, I want it to last for that whole year,” he said.

According to Mikie Wine, music is his passion therefore he gives his all to ensure fans enjoy the final product. He further noted that to him, music is not a money making venture.

"To me music is passion, I sing because I love it not even getting money out of it but I'm very calculative. Many artists kept on releasing songs without even having food back at home. I don't want to go back to that because life is real, I grew up from the ghettos and I know what life is," Mikie Wine told NBS After5.

Mikie Wine is currently riding high with his new song 'Guno Omwaka' that he has collaborated with Levixone.
