Ykee Benda and Geosteady are currently two of the top trending male Ugandan artists in the country. The two have made it to the top thanks to their songwriting skills, great vocals and top quality songs. In this article, we review some of the key achievements that have shaped their careers:

Experience

Ykee Benda made his music debut in 2015 and has steadily risen overtime.  His musical style is diverse and includes Afrobeats, Pop, Dancehall, R&B and Reggae among others

Geosteady got his breakthrough in 2012 with his single ‘Ntunulira’ and later remixed Viola by Elly Wamala, the song that put him on the map. Geosteady has over the years evolved and is now one of the biggest vocalists in Uganda, majoring in Reggae, RnB, Zouk and other music genres.

Awards
Ykee Benda boasts of several awards that include; AFRIMMA, Hi Skool Awards, Zzina Awards, Buzz Teeniez and  Zzina among others.

Being one of the most talented vocalists in Uganda, Geosteady has won several awards. In 2017, he won BEST RNB, Best male Artist, and Song of the Year at the Uganda Entertainment Awards. He bagged Song of the year and Best Collabo at the Delta Force Music Awards

Albums
Ykee Benda has two albums; Kireka Boy released in 2017and Kirabo released in 2021. Geosteady also has two studio albums; Lovenjitis released in 2017 and Love Letter released in 2020.

YouTube Viewership and Subscribers
Ykee Benda's YouTube channel was launched on 23rd October, 2011 and currently has 136K subscribers. He has a cumulative viewership of 21,202,134.

Geosteady launched his channel on 22nd February, 2014 and currently has 61.3K subscribers and a cumulative viewership of 12,050,150.

Ykee Benda has 655K followers on Instagram and 863K on Facebook. On his part, Geosteady has 300K followers on Facebook and 550K on Instagram.

International Collaborations
Ykee Benda has collaborated with several international artistes including;  Jason Derulo (USA), Reekado Banks (Nigeria), Tekno (Nigeria), Jay Prayzah (Zimbabwe), Mr. Bow (Mozambique), Manzu (Sierra Leone) and Butera Knowless (Rwanda) among others.

Geosteady has collaborated with Rwanda's duo Charly and Nina, Nigeria's Korede Bello among others.

Life outside Music
Ykee Benda owns Mpaka Records. Apart from producing music and videos, the company is looking at maximizing its potential as an agency between corporations and artists. He also boasts a number of ambassadorial deals with companies like Centenary Bank, Big Win etc.

Geosteady owns a personal recording studio and side businesses he chooses not to disclose.
