Bebe Cool Ranks Himself One of Africa’s Most Consistent Veteran Artists

Veteran Ugandan artist Bebe Cool has ranked himself one of most consistent artists with a vibrant music career in Africa.

Speaking during a recent interview wth Kaliro Boy on his YouTube channel, Bebe Cool noted that focusing on timeless music has set him apart as a veteran artist in the continent.

"I'm in a good place because the most important thing is maintaining…I'm consistent and sure that there's a point where I can't fall below.

"What most artists don't understand is no matter how far you go, a certain time you have to come down but at what level do you drop. No matter what happens I can't go below that,” he said.

Bebe Cool noted that over the years, he has managed to blend with various generations, therefore increasing his life span in the industry.

"There are two types of artists, the old and the new generation and I manage to live in both. You might present Wizkid and Davido and ten years from now, you might find me present and not see them anywhere. Their generation will fade but I will still continue onto the next,” he divulged.

According to Bebe Cool, he is at a point in his life where he is no longer chasing for views and relevancy on social media because he believes it doesn't matter to him anymore.

"When you grow up, you understand that music stops somewhere but business has to grow wider. Your mind must go beyond just songs," he said.
