Ugandan rapper St. Nelly Sade has finally released her new jam dubbed 'Katonda Awambye' after weeks of promotion.

In 'Katonda Awambye' (loosely translated from Luganda to mean 'God is in full control' or 'God Has Taken Over'), the Luga flow rapper narrates the ordeal of an ordinary citizen as Covid-19 bites hard on the population.

‘Katonda Awambye’ is basically a story of the plight of staying home under lockdown in absolute fear and wary. It advises the populace to return to their God for through the pandemic, He has shown His might.

The song cites the dire but equally paradoxical situations of the poor struggling to make ends meet as the millionaires struggle to find Oxygen facilities in health facilities.

The audio was produced by Yung Jey Basalesale at Aaltimet Records.

St. Nelly Sade has earned his place in the Hip-hop industry as one of the top rappers with relatable and timely lines.

He is widely known for putting together events that make news in Uganda throughout the year and releasing it in form of a song series dubbed ‘Rap Up’. The song is always released in January of every New Year.
