THE GOSPEL (1)

*Food for thought*

God's goodness - and not the fear of hell is what leads people to repentance. Hell is a message and a truth but it's not good news and as such can't be the gospel. The gospel is too-good-to-be-true news or glad tidings. The message that saves a sinner is not the message of the fear of hell but the unconditional love of God demonstrated in the three elements of redemption which is the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The message of hell gonna produced false converts 'cause people will accept Jesus out of fear and not of Faith in his unconditional love. And whatever is done without faith is sin. The only message that saves a man eternally is the gospel which reveals the righteousness of God from faith to faith devoid of performance-based and works oriented. God's unconditional love and goodness is what leads men to repentance and not the fear of hell. If you call yourself a preacher of the gospel, it's imperative that you find out what the gospel is all about and preach it undiluted and unadulterated. It's either you're a dispenser of the too good to be true news or .... The gospel is not about what you'll do in order to be accepted by God. The GOSPEL is about what God has done that has made you accepted by him. Think about it

Romans 2:4
"Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?"

Romans 1:16-17
[16]For I am not ashamed of the Gospel (good news) of Christ, for it is God's power working unto salvation [for deliverance from eternal death] to everyone who believes with a personal trust and a confident surrender and firm reliance, to the Jew first and also to the Greek,
[17]For in the Gospel a righteousness which God ascribes is revealed, both springing from faith and leading to faith [disclosed through the way of faith that arouses to more faith]. As it is written, The man who through faith is just and upright shall live and shall live by faith. [Hab. 2:4.]
