Ghanaian Highlife musician Bisa Kdei has responded to an earlier post by Shatta Wale dated 3rd June 2021, where he requested Ghanaians to come together and creatively identify themselves with a common genre that would sell them to investors abroad.

According to the dancehall artiste Shattawale, Ghanaian musicians do not identify with any music genre, which made him call upon Ghanaians to be more creative and try to identify themselves with a unique music genre. In response, the Highlife musician Bisa Kdei said that Ghanaians have always been identified themselves with Highlife music.
Speaking during an interview with GNA Entertainment, the multiple award-winning Highlife act expressed his surprise that Shatta Wale did not know the dominating music genre in Ghana.

"You and I both know Highlife is our identity, and I have been preaching about this identity thing for a long time. I don’t know why Shatta Wale didn't mention Highlife, but I think it is a good course for all of us to come together and sell what we created,'' he said.
Meanwhile, Bisa Kdei is currently working on promoting his new single titled "Slow," which has already received a little over 62k views on YouTube.
