Every week, there’s always something new to look out for in the Nigerian music scene. This week, there are a couple of new music videos that Nigerian musicians have released that you need to watch.
- Squander (Remix) – Falz, Kamo Mphela, Mpura
‘Squander’ is a song originally done by Falz featuring Afro-House queen Niniola. The rapper returns with a remix version of the song in which he recruited Kamo Mphela, and Mpura. Visuals for ‘Squander (Remix)’ released on May 30, 2021, were shot in South Africa, and Falz says he had so much fun shooting as the atmosphere was warm and the energy was sweet.
- In Sync – Crayon
Off his ‘Twelve A.M’ EP, Mavins records singer Crayon on May 29, 2021, released a second music video – this time around for the single ‘In Sync’.
- Hold Me Tight – Kcee ft Peruzzi, Okwesili Eze Group
Just days after dropping the audio, Kcee premiered the song’s official music video directed by TG Omori. In this song, Kcee features DMW’s Peruzzi and Okwesili Eze Group which he worked with on the ‘Cultural Praise’ project.
- Baba Nla – Candy Bleaks ft Teni
The Queen of the Streets Candy Bleakz and Super Star Teni Makanaki teamed up on this girl power anthem titled 'Baba Nla'. Visuals for ‘Baba Nla’ which means 'Influential Man' in the Yoruba language premiered on YouTube on May 28, 2021.
- Twisted Fantasy – Justine Skye ft Rema
American singer Justine Skye dropped the ‘Fantasy Twisted’ single featuring Mavin Records golden boy Rema in April 2021 and followed up with visuals released on May 26, 2021.
- Cho Cho – Zlatan ft Davido, Mayorkun
‘Cho Cho’ is a classic street banger that brings together Zanku master Zlatan Ibile, Davido, and Mayorkun. Still enjoying airplay, the single now has an official music video that was released on May 28, 2021.
- Show Me – Joeboy
Taken from the love-themed Joeboy’s debut album ‘Somewhere Between Beauty and Magic’, the ‘Show Me’ video premiered on June 1, 2021. In this song, Joeboy seeks assurance from his love interest and wants her to show that she loves him because he’s addicted to her and he doesn’t know what to do.
