Rwandan singer Alyn Sano has weighed in on her recent participation at the Voice Afrique singing competition, noting that Rwanda won despite her ditching the competition at the semi-final stage.
Alyn jetted back to Rwanda on Wednesday night and took a short video where she told her fans to stay strong because they won by virtue that she represented Rwanda in such a stage.
“I would like to express my gratitude for showing me love even though we did not make it to win like getting the trophy but we won. We won because we reached the semifinals and we got many opportunities. Now, Africa knows us,” she said.
Her fans showed her a lot of love with many celebrating her for flying Rwanda’s flag high at the Voice Afrique.
“We're super Proud of you @alynsano thanks for Blessings our lovely Country,” one of her fans said.
DJprorich added: “Thx we love u more kbsa sano we imbere cyan kndi komeza udukarage imizigo mishya.”
Last year, Alyn Sano took Rwanda by storm thanks to her viral hit ‘Perimana’. It was such a big song for Rwanda and beyond as it came just when the country was reeling in the effects of the first wave of coronavirus.
