Music makes our souls happy and this weekend was made special, after various artists dropped some hit songs back to back. Among those who released some good jams this weekend were Tanasha, Otile among many more talented artists. This article reviews some of the top songs released over the past weekend (April 24-25, 2021):
Complicationship - Tanasha ft Bad Boy Timz
‘Complicationship’ is an Afro beat jam which dives into relationships that are not defined yet. In this song, Tanasha takes us through a journey with a guy she wants but he seems to be stuck between choosing her and another lady. The jam which was produced by Motif Di Don has received excellent reviews from fans who noted Tanasha’s gradual growth in her art to date. ‘Complicationship’ is currently trending at number 14 and has over 160,000 views on YouTube.
Humble - Masterpiece ft Otile Brown
Masterpiece and Otile Brown have released a new gospel hit dubbed ‘Humble’. In ‘Humble’ the two talented artists dive into the reasons they choose to remain humble citing God and prayer to be a pillar of their lives. This jam which was directed by Mike Lolly P has been received well by fans who praised their well harmonized vocals. The jam is currently flying high with over 100,000 views on YouTube.
Kamua Kamua - Ochungulo Family
Ochungulo family has made a comeback with a new hot Gengetone jam dubbed ‘Kamua Kamua’. ‘Kamua Kamua’ is a groovy jam about having a good time at a party. All members feed off each other’s energy as they rap and vibe throughout the jam which was recorded by Ashi Akatsa with ABH Sounds mixing and mastering. Fans took to the comment section to welcome the Ochungulo family as they praised their new song.
Plus One - Octopizzo ft Owino Kitoto
Conscious rapper Octopizzo paid tribute to his African roots with his latest jam dubbed ‘Plus One’ featuring Owino Kitoto. ‘Plus One’ gives Owino a chance to shine as he performs the traditional song with Octopizzo closing the jam with some well versed rap lyrics. ‘Plus One’ which currently has over 134,000 views has been received well by fans who praised Octopizzo for his versatility in today’s generation.
