Ugandan musician Ykee Benda has hailed veteran artist Jose Chameleone for paving the way for hundreds of Ugandan musicians succeeding in the music industry today.

Jose Chameleone is one of the music legends that have shaped the Ugandan music scene. He has managed to stay relevant for more than 20 years.

Many young artists including his brothers; Pallaso, Weasel and the late AK47 joined the music industry after seeing how successful he was.

He also popularized Hanson Baliruno's 'Tondekangawo' to top the charts.

According to Jose Chameleone, he features on many collabos with upcoming musicians because he understands the pain of being denied such opportunities.
