Ssaru Drops New Song ‘Dea Moda’

Talented Kenyan rapper Ssaru has released a new jam dubbed ‘Dea Moda’. ‘Dea Moda’ is a Sheng’ word which in this context translates to ‘Their Mother'.

In ‘De Moda’, Ssaru crowns herself as the mother of other rappers in the music scene. She uses her artistic freedom in this freestyle rap song to narrate her journey in the music industry, and also touches on normal issues that affect everyone like fake love and friends which make the song very relatable.

Artistically, 'Dea Moda' strengthens Ssaru’s position as one of the top rappers in the country; a statement she reiterates time and again in her lyrics.

Meanwhile, Ssaru has been having quite a successful year. On 5th January she was featured in ‘Hapa’ by Timmy Tdat. ‘Hapa’ is a sensual song delivered on an upbeat instrumental and complete with excellently directed visuals by Dolls.

She doubled down by opening a fresh YouTube channel dubbed Saru Vevo which has grown tremendously and already has over 12,000 subscribers. In addition to opening a new channel, she also dropped visuals for her song ‘Zitoke’.

'Zitoke' is a feel good song done in Swahili and Sheng. The title loosely translates to 'dance to the fullest’. The new Ssaru is unstoppable. She continues to push herself to higher heights, by trying new artistic styles and releasing executively directed visuals, which are all contributing to the current wave of success she is experiencing.
