Cindy Sanyu Trashes Death Rumors

Ugandan female dancehall artist Cindy Sanyu has come out to reply to reply to fellow artists who were spreading wrong information that she had passed on.

Cindy Sanyu who is the interim president of the Ugandan Musicians Association has been receiving a lot of backlash in the past weeks since her take over. This is mainly from fellow artists who have accused her of pocketing the relief funds given by the government to see artists survive the challenging period of not being able to perform because of the pandemic.

A group of artists recorded a video announcing her fake demise and Cindy in an interview with Kookie Promotions claimed that they were trying to trash talk her by spreading the malicious rumor. She says she is still strong however much they try to downplay her leadership and UMA president.

"I'm still alive and kicking. I'm still working hard and most of all president of UMA. I know there are some people who feeling bad because of this fact and actually hate it but I'm not bothered at all. I'm still president and the association is still moving." Cindy said.

There will be a swearing ceremony on 5th April that will see Cindy, GNL Zamba among others contest for UMA presidency following Ykee Benda's sudden step down before the end of his term.
