Yo Maps’ “So Chabe” hit ranks high in Mdundo Weekly Top 10 Chart.
For weeks in a row, ‘So Chabe’ has managed to stay still in second position as Diamond ft Koffi Olomide’s ‘Waah’ sits tightly in the first position.
In February, Yo Maps celebrated a new milestone after ‘So Chabe’ hit one million views on YouTube.
“Yo Maps says thank you for 1 million YouTube views on his single So Chabe. You guys are the best. Let's continue supporting Zambian Music until we get it there??” he posted
He released the song in September, 2020 and it warmed the hearts of many Zambians.
‘So Chabe’ is a love song with a classic moral lesson about life. In the song, Yo Maps depicts a picture of a young man with a big vision. Despite living humbly in the village with his wife who he cherishes and spends time with in the farm, he manages to make huge strides in success but he never forgets her.
When his luck comes, he goes for the girl he left in the village and takes her away to experience urban life which only comes with success.
Other Zambian hits that have made it to the top 10 list include ‘Kumomba” by Yo Maps ft Stanza Elp and ‘Ma Lucky’ by Roberto ft Macky 2.
