Renowned Kenyan artist Eko Dydda has released a new jam dubbed ‘Nabii’.

‘Nabii’ is a Swahili word that translates to ‘Prophet’. In ‘Nabii’, Eko Dydda tells God to take over in his life because he doesn’t have time for jealousy. He narrates how far he has come, singing that he is very happy at this moment.

He also does some wordplay in a verse where he states that when it comes to the Bible he reads Luke and when it comes to his clothes he looks good too.

“Mad creativity...ndani ya Yesu kabisa...be blessed @eko,” one of Eko Dydda’s fans posted on the YouTube comment section.

On the other hand, some fans diverged and chose to offer constructive criticism. One of his fans commented that they had missed his older style of music. “I miss the ekodyda wa enzi za (wacha nikuite sir) Enzi za psalms 23.....sai almost half the song ni (Nabii ka nanyuki),” the comment read.

Eko Dydda read the comment and replied by telling the fan that the older style of music was not going to attract viewership, emphasizing that his new style helps spread the gospel. “If I sing that tutajipata wawili and that's not going to spread the Gospel,” he replied.

In terms of YouTube views, ‘Nabii’ has been received well and already has over 1,400 views in just a few hours.
