Awicko Drops New ‘Apondi’ Video

Fast-rising Kenyan artist Awicko aka The King of Afro Benga has released a new jam dubbed ‘Apondi’.
‘Apondi’ is an afro benga jam that is sung in Dholuo, English, and Swahili. In ‘Apondi’, Awicko sings that he wants to see his lady when she says good morning because he likes her dental formula, her eyes and by extension her body.

The visuals for this jam are in a bar. We see Awicko with his friends having a great time as they play pool at a pool table.
The audio for ‘Apondi’ was produced by Sean on the beat with Nezzo Montana directing the visuals.

Apart from singing, Awicko also scripted the lyrics to his song and the visuals script.
‘Apondi’ has been received well by fans and already has over 19,000 views in just two days. In addition, fans have left positive comments under the visuals with some expressing that they might not understand Awicko's song due to language barrier, but they always enjoy the songs.

Meanwhile, ‘Ohala’ which he dropped last year in October featuring Mr. Seed is still doing well and currently has over 500,000 views on YouTube.
