Zambian music star Roberto has confessed to flirting with the idea of quitting music in 2020.

Roberto in an interactive session with his fans on Facebook said that at the beginning of 2020 he fought with the idea of quitting music. It all started when a fan asked him if he had at one point in his career considered hanging the boots and looking into something else.

Last year, Zambian Hip-hop star and XYZ CEO Bobby East had also spoken of his desire to quit music saying that he has had many years in the industry and it is time to let others have their time.

After the death of Daev, he revisited the issue saying that he is appalled by the lack of support for local artistes in Zambia. This, he said, was reason enough for him to hand his boots. However, he released new music a few weeks later.
