Ayra Starr Sets New Record in Nigeria With Self-Titled Debut EP

Mavin Records new signing Ayra Starr has already hit the ground running, barely a week after she was unveiled.
The 19-year-old singer and songwriter was officially unveiled as a latest signing to the veteran singer and producer - Don Jazzy's record label in January 22, 2021.
Her unveiling came on the day that Ayra Starr also released her self-titled EP that has since been positively received well.
The 5-track EP which plays for a cumulative 13 minutes a day later topped both Nigerian iTunes and Apple Music, becoming the first project to be #1 on both charts in 2021 since Wizkid's 'Made In Lagos'.
Wizkid had set that record in December 2020.

Don Jazzy while officially welcoming Ayra Starr to his lable described her as the most incredible 18-year-old girl while her debut EP has been termed as a project she has used to showcase her effective writing skills and polished vocal abilities.
Ayra Starr has already released a first official music video off the self-titled EP.
The video for the single 'Away' premiered on YouTube on January 23, 2021, and it currently has over 200k views.
