Chris Kaiga has become a household name on the east side of the African continent. This is because of his diverse style of music. It's really hard to place a finger on what type of music the ‘Zimenice’ crooner makes. Chris Kaiga’s beats and lyrical prowess is out of this world. His afro/gengetone beats heavily embedded with witty rhymes are all fundamentals for his hit tracks.Chris basically has his own genre.
For the first ever, a kenyan artist has shot a brief vlog of his music making process. The vlog is dubbed ‘Music that moves’. On this short teaser, we see Chris in the sandy beaches of coastal Kenya, making a yet to be released track.Word on the street is, Chris Kaiga is releasing his much awaited ‘Adventures of Chris Kaiga’ EP.
The vlog comes as a promotion of ‘Adventures of Chris Kaiga’ as well as a behind the scenes teaser of Chris Kaiga’s creation process. This form of promotion has become popular among artists. Other artists who have done this are Nigeria;s Wizkid on his ‘Wizkid live’ on youtube as well as USA’s Travis Scott with ‘Look Mama I can Fly’ available on Netflix. These vlogs help the audience content with the artist on a personal level. The vlogs usually feature the artist’s life beyond the mic as well as musical inspirations and stage performances.
Chris Kaiga, the serial hit maker had a successful spell in 2020 with hit tracks like; Hizi Bundas, Zimenice and a feature with Kenyan rapper Kahush on Mastingo. Kaiga also got an unexpected on Nyashinski’s viral hit ‘Hapo Tu’.
