Chege Chigunda Drops New 'Burudani' EP

Legendary Tanzanian rapper Chege Chigunda has released his latest EP dubbed ‘Burudani’ after a musical hiatus.
Chege announced the project's release through his Instagram account, terming it a gift to his loyal fans. The ‘Burudani’ EP has six tracks.
“Hii ni EP yangu ya kwanza kutoa mwaka huu 2021 Ukiachana na album zangu nilizowahi kutoa huko nyuma. Hakika hii ni zawadi yangu kwa mashabiki zangu wote duniani, EP yangu hii ina nyimbo 6 inaakwenda kwa Jina la (Burudani),” said Chege.

The EP's lead single is also dubbed 'Burudani' where the rapper talks about the bongo music scene in general.
He calls for unity among the three prominent musicians, Diamond, Alikiba, and Harmonize.
This is Chege's first EP since going independent after the split of the TMK group. Among the band members, Chege is the only one with a successful solo career, having worked with musicians like Diamond Platnumz and Saida Karoli.

The project adds to the growing number of EPs and albums being released by Bongo musicians this year.
Notably, Alikiba, Diamond, Mbosso, and Rayvanny are among musicians who have announced the release of albums later this year.
