Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything. A single symphony, beat or song, can change the life of a person. Likewise, as it changes people, it is susceptible to the same metamorphosis.
Today on our WCW playlist, we shall highlight the new school female artists who have changed the face of the different genres they do. The different voices, talent and personalities impact the music industry in a huge way and it’s precisely this which changes the music. From Tanzania, Uganda back to Kenya, these female faces are responsible for most of your preferences in the art that is music.

Ugandan Artist Cindy, was made known to the world through the female RnB group blu3, which broke up after a while placing her on a solo career, which conceived hits like ‘Mbikooye’ ‘U and Me’ featuring Psquare and her most recent hit, ‘Selekta’

With debut performances at Carnivore and regular nights hosting Karaoke at Double Inn Karen and the former Velvet Bar and Grill on Waiyaki Way ( currently Galileos), This Kenyan artist proves that she is simply working with the laws of momentum which soon will have her thrust into the spotlight of fame!
Pizo Dizo
The Kenyan rap queen shows that the male ego has gone for a long time unchecked by its female counterpart and she is here to shift the scales. Responsible for ‘Chali Stinji’ and ‘Quality Kama Hizo’ she changed the rap game to suit her vision
Yvonne Darcq
She is one of East Africa's fastest rising recording artist from Kenya. From her creativity to her diverse fashion to her colourful personality, this young RnB songstress not only has a powerful voice but also has a lot of accomplishments up her sleeves.

This Tanzanian singer proved that love is not dead with her uber impressive single, ‘I do’. She is an amazing artist who is just but on the rise.
Nyota Ndogo
A musician from Kenya who performs taarab-influenced pop music. Nyota Ndogo has released four albums: Chereko, Nimetoka Mbali Mpenzi and "Mama Wakambo" which consequently led to her awarding as ‘Best Female Singer’ and as ‘Best Taarab Singer’
Lady Jaydee
She specializes in the R&B/Zouk/Kwaito genres. Lady Jaydee was voted Best Tanzanian Female R&B Artist in 2002, performed at the Kora All Africa Designers Competition, and was awarded "Best R&B Album" at theTanzania Music Awards on August 6, 2004. She recently dropped her airwave ripping song, ‘Yahaya’ which had everyone tirelessly singing along
