Mercy Chinwo Named Best Gospel Act at GMA 2020

Popular Nigerian singer and songwriter Mercy Chinwo has bagged yet another top award.
In a post on her official Facebook page on Tuesday, Mercy Chinwo revealed that she had won the Best Gospel Act category at the Galaxy Music Awards (GMA) 2020 edition.
The 'Excess Love' hit maker said it was a honor winning the award. On the 5th day of Christmas my true love gave to me, 5 golden rings.

The win sums up a largely successful year that saw Mercy Chinwo release her sophomore album 'Satisfied' in July 2020.
She has also won a number of other awards thing year, among them the Best Gospel Artist at the 2020 All African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA).
Some of the best songs that Mercy Chinwo has released this year include 'Na You Dey Reign', 'Chinedum', 'Obinasom' and 'Akamdinelu'.
The 30-year-old singer who won the Nigerian Idol Season 2 in 2012 has had a number of achievements in her career among them being awarded the Best Gospel Artiste at the CLIMAX Awards 2018.
In 2019, at the maiden edition of the Africa Gospel Awards Festival (AGAFEST 2019), Mercy Chinwo was named winner in the categories: Africa Gospel New Artiste of the Year, Africa Gospel Female Artiste of the Year and Africa Gospel Song of the Year (Excess Love).
