A Glimpse To MOBO Awards Performance By Tiwa Savage

The 2020 MOBO Awards was live-streamed on Wednesday 9th December 2020 with prolific and eclectic Nigerian hip pop female star, Tiwa Savage stealing the show as she performed with her signature vibrancy and stagecraft.
The performance was set on a strong thematic ideology and symbolism with a well crafted message to the world. Tiwa started her performance with an excerpt from Fela Kuti's "Beasts of No Nation" where he spoke about how the government reacted to his message.
She quickly switched to her latest Koroba with the band fully behind her. with a cool color code on stage, the performance took a fast pace towards at the end as she tactfully sang of how she should be handled. This I deduce to lay the foundation of the expectation vs results as she strongly finished with the call, "Who Gave The Order"
While Tiwa Savage stole the hearts of many Nigerians, it was Wizkid and Burna Boy who did the country proud as big winners on the night. While Wizkid clinched the Best African Act award, Burna Boy walked away with the Best International Act.
The awards are UK’s biggest celebration of Black music and culture and this years event was hosted by Maya Jama and Chunkz.
