The zeal that brings the flavor of music in Zambia is one to be envied.

Music is a big lifeline in this part of the world. Every week, there are lots of new music coming in.  Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, there was good music through the year.

 Here are the top 10 songs for Zambia in 2020.

Never Been Easy – Daev

Just before the coronavirus pandemic hit Africa, Daev had released his single titled “Never Been Easy” which was a big tune during lock down. It was not only a source of hope for those who listened to it, but it also an inspiration-filled song.

Kamba Ka Love - Daev

Daev was all about love. He felt that he should send a message to Zambians on how they perceive love and treat each other when they are in love. The jam went viral and it is among his best hits of 2020, unfortunately as he was making his way to the top of the Zambian music industry, he was involved in an accident and succumbed.

Dzuwa – Slap Dee ft Jorzi

This was among Slap Dee’s first videos for the year 2020. It was released in April 2020 and featured Jorzi who nailed his verse and gave it a different sound.  It came amid the lock down and became an instant hit.  At the moment, it has over 300,000 videos on YouTube.

I Declare – Macky 2 ft Bobby East and Chester

‘I Declare’ was a massive hit in Zambia as it was full of hope and inspiration. The song encouraged Zambians to declare what they want to achieve in 2020 and work tirelessly towards hitting those goals.

‘Sensation’ assumes a deeply mystical setup that you can only describe as ‘perfect’. So good is the lyric video of the song that fans promised to push its viewership to more than one million on YouTube.
