Burna Boy, Wizkid Among Winners at 2020 MOBO Awards (FULL LIST of Winners)

Two of the biggest acts in Nigeria - Burna Boy and Wikzid, emerged victorious in the 2020 MOBO Awards whose winners were announced on the night of December 9.
The two who have had an amazing year that has seen them drop albums - each bagged one award.
Burna Boy who has seen his 'Twice As Tall' album get a nomination to the 63rd Grammy awards beat a star-studded list of nominees to win the Best International Act (Public Vote).
The category had several top international acts among them Drake, Megan Thee Stallion, Popcaan, Summer Walker, Lil Baby and Nigeria's Rema.

Wizkid, still doing well with his 'Made In Lagos' album on his part won the Best African Act category that had among other nominees - Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, Davido, Master KG, Stonebwoy and Fireboy DML.
The MOBO Awards (Music of Black Origin, also known as the MOBOs) are an annual music award presentation honouring achievements in 'music of black origin', including hip hop, grime, R&B, soul, reggae, jazz, gospel, and African music.
The inaugural awards were broadcast by Carlton from London's Connaught Rooms in 1996.
MOBO Awards ceremony were last held in 2017 before taking a two-year break.
The 2020 edition was held virtually and streamed on YouTube across the globe due to the ongoing Coronavirus Pandemic.

Best African act: Wizkid
Best Reggae act: Buju Banton
Best Gospel act: CalledOut Music
Best Jazz act: Ego Ella May
Best Producer: Jae5
Inspiration Award: Steve McQueen
