Sarz is a Nigerian record producer and musician who was born in Benin City, Endo State in in a family of three children.
He studied his Primary school education at All Saints before joining Goodwill Secondary School.
How did Sarz start his music career?
Sarz describes his entry into music as a mistake. However, his love for music and ability to remember a beat in detail after hearing it played a major role in nurturing his interest in music production.
As a music producer, Sarz has worked on many songs. His debut production was in 2010 when he produced the hit single ‘Jor Oh’ and the Remix for Jahbless which featured Durella, RuggedMan, Reminisce, Ice Prince and eLDee that won ‘Best Street Hop’ award and was nominated for ‘Best Collaboration’ at The Headies.
In 2011, Sarz produced several other songs including Shank's ‘Salute’, eLDee's ‘Today Today’ and ‘Wash Wash’, Skales ‘Mukulu’, Goldie Harvey’s ‘Don’t Touch my Body’ and Reminisce's “’Kako Bi Chicken’ which was nominated for Best Street Hop at The Headies, 2012.
He also solely produced eLDee's ‘Undeniable’ album – except for the song ‘We Made It.
Sarz’s debut single as a musician was in 2012 with ‘Beat Of Life (Samba)’ that featured singer Wizkid. He in 2013 also produced 2 songs off Wizkid's Ayo Album, ‘Jaiye Jaiye’ featuring Femi Kuti and ‘Kilofe’.
