Celebrated Ugandan musician turn politician Bobi Wine has been in the music industry for close to two decades blessing us with amazing hits.

Even though he has slowed down on music to concentrate on his presidential bid, his contribution to the Ugandan music industry will never be forgotten.

It was released in 2007 and was the first single off Bobi Wine’s album that year. The song went viral in Uganda as it was relatable especially among the low income earners. In the song, Bobi Wine urged low income earners to be content with the little they earn adding that someday their fortunes will change.



Following its release, many people adopted the phrase to describe anything fake. In 2015, the song featured as a soundtrack in the famous ‘King of Katwe’ movie.



‘Akagoma’ was one of Bobi Wine’s first singles that made him famous in Uganda. In the song released in 2001, he encourages people to have fun.  Following its release, it became the anthem in clubs and entertainment joins across Uganda.

It was released in 2005 and was about Bobi Wine’s affirmation to rival artists that he was not giving up or going anywhere. He sung about how far he had come and his achievements.
