Bazuka Releases New ‘Freedom’ Album

Australian-based Zimbabwean singer Mabasa Ziyambi alias “General Bazuka” has released a a new album dubbed ‘Freedom’.

‘Freedom’ has amazing tracks all of which talk of the heavy price that one has to endure to secure freedom while in foreign land.

He did the nine songs a few months ago when he was on lockdown. Based on the experience he has as an African living in abroad, it compounded his creativity for the album.

“Different things inspire different people. There is so much inspiration in this world and I think it is important that we start to highlight the things that inspire us versus the things that are destroying us,” he told a local blog on the release of his album.

He added that the racism he has witnessed over the years across the world played a huge role in talking of freedom passionately.

“The racist tendencies of some individuals and violence in the world was the main reason behind the album title,” he said.

He produced one song each month which he said was because he needed it to be perfect thus more time.

Its production was also hurdled due to lockdown which limited movement of persons but all in all, he managed to bring out the themes of desire, humanity, love and grief too which he used to premise his message

Freedom’ will be launched officially on Star FM and National FM.
