Celebrated Kenyan artist King Kaka has finally released visuals for his new hit dubbed ‘Mbekse’ featuring Femi One, Jadi, Ramsizo and US Ambassador to Kenya Kyle McCarter.

'Mbekse' is a slang word that means two. In the song’s graphic, there is a hand with two fingers in the sky, which is a global representation of peace.

‘Mbekse’ advocates for peace, the freedom from disturbance, tranquility and inner peace.

The song is part of a partnership between USAID and King Kaka meant to promote peaceful co-existence across the country.

The partnership saw King Kaka conduct a challenge dubbed #16 Bars of Peace where rappers contributed for several goodies and a chance to feature in the song.

The winner of the completion Ramsizo was featured in the ‘Mbekse’ video.

“The three-week #16BarsforPeace hip hop campaign targeting Kenyan youth on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter has announced its top three winners and released a peace anthem, Mbekse. The campaign was co-created and led by Kennedy Ombima aka King Kaka, a popular Kenyan rapper, entrepreneur, and philanthropist in partnership with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID),” he posted.

A few hours after it was released, ‘Mbekse’ is doing well online with over 1,500 views on YouTube.

Over the past months, King Kaka has been using his platform as a UNICEF KE Ambassador to headline initiatives for the Kenyan Youth.

In addition, he continues to release music that touches on real-life issues affecting the normal Kenyan.
