Ugandan politics has taken over the music industry by storm with several musicians coming out to give their views on who they think is best for leadership, and some artists expressing their interests to run for different offices.

However, speaking during a recent interview, renowned Ugandan musician distanced himself from politics stating that he is not ready to take part in the game.

Responding to a question on his political affiliation, John Blaq noted that he is just a musician trying to entertain his fans rather than to identify with any party.

He, however, wishes his counterparts who have joined politics good luck and prays blessings upon them.

"I wish all the people who are taking part in politics good luck because I believe they are all in this with a dream to build our country. I wish them blessings and God's protection. We have witnessed music fans fight on social media because of the political differences,” he said.

He called for peace and unity among Ugandans regardless of their political affiliations.
