Rwandan traditional singer Clarisse Karasira has revealed why she is yet to releaser her 18-track album titled ‘Inganzo y’Imitima’.

In an interview with The New Times, she said the album was set for launch in July, adding that she had planned a music tour to popularize the launch all though Rwanda’s provinces but coronavirus pandemic thwarted her plans.

I had to postpone, but I am now prepared to launch it no matter what conditions and I am confident people will love it,” she said.

The tracks are themed around the Rwandese culture and way of life which intrigues a lot of fans.

In the album, ‘Urukerereza’ is the favourite hit in Rwanda at the moment. Other tracks in the album include ‘Rwanda Shima’, ‘Gira Neza’, and ‘Ntizagushuke’.

‘Urukerereza’ is the first collabo that Karasira has done since she started her music career in 2017.

Karasira said the thinking behind ‘Urukerereza’ was to encourage people to explore new friendships with people who they click with.

She added that these should be the people to confide and seek support from when things get tough and share happiness with when things are well and great.

“This is my first collaboration with another artiste. It took me time to decide on doing collaborations with other artistes because I wanted to first focus on building a true identity of my music through releasing singles to allow people to easily identify me with my music,” “It is such a great honour for me to have an artiste like Mani Martin to collaborate with,” the singer said in an interview.
