4th Edition of Ghana National Gospel Music Awards Launched

The fourth edition of the Ghana National Gospel Music Awards (GNGMAs) has been launched in Accra on last friday, September 25.

After the successful launch of the award scheme, organizers of the award, Global Expert Recoveries, have announced a plan of activities leading to the main event scheduled for 2021.

Organizers say nominations for Ghana National Gospel Music Awards will be opened on September 28, 2020, with interested participants filing for nominations via the official website.

They also add that filing of nominations is expected to close on November 14, 2020, making room for sorting and verification of potential nominees by the board.

The list of nominees for the 4th edition is expected to be announced on December 21, 2020, and voting for various nominees to begin effective December 22, 2020, via the website.

New categories announced by the board include African Gospel Artiste of the Year, International Gospel Artiste of the Year, Adventist Vibrant Artiste of the Year, Gospel Radio/Tv show of the Year, Church Choir of the Year and Gospel Artiste Manager of the Year.

Venue for the National Gospel Music Awards 20 slated for February 20, 2021, is yet to be announced.

Winners in various categories for this year’s awards will be determined by 40% public, Board 40%, and 20% Academy votes.

This year's event is supported by BTM Afrika, eTV Ghana, Steaman Group, the Multimedia Group, Rockson Ransford Hospital, MUSIGA, Jonab J. services, UGN, Texas Gospel Music Excellence Awards and Gospel Bloggers Association.
