The Tanzanian Hip-hop music industry is slowly gaining popularity despite facing stiff competition from rival genres including the dominant Bongo Flavor.
Over the years, more artists have embraced Hip-hop music in Tanzania, with fans also receiving these songs well.
This month, a number of artistes have dropped several Hip-hop jams, with some standing out from the pack.
This article reviews 5 of the best Hip-hop jams dropped in Tanzania this month:
Intro - Country Boy
This was his first song under the Konde Music World wide label. On YouTube, it has over 600,000 views. He is slowly building a name for himself as the artiste to beat when it comes to Hip-hop.
Waist/Uno - Gnako
‘Waist’ is a dance-inspired song where Gnako goes all out describing how a certain girl’s waist makes him go crazy. He shows his excitement in visuals as he follows the said lady all through. With Over 64,000 views its obvious Gnako will be sticking around for a while.
Baba - Country Boy
This is his second jam under his new management. Country Boy is set to launch his new EP dubbed ‘Baba’ this weekend. ‘Baba’ is the second song off the EP and has over 230,000 views.
Usiyependa Kaja – Rosa Ree
‘Usiyempenda Kaja’ is a Swahili word that loosely translates to the one you don’t like has come. In this jam, Rosa Ree spits amazing bars about her confidence and being the best female rapper in the country.
