Fast-rising Kenyan singer and rapper Odi wa Murang’a has dropped a new video dubbed ‘Waraka’.
‘Waraka’ is Odi’s love story where he opens up on loving a lady who did not replicate what he felt for her.
He regrets missed opportunities he would have taken advantage of, and settles for pouring his heart out in the open letter.
Unlike his role at Boondocks Gang where is raps in deep bass, Odi has adopted a different sound in this new jam, and sings all through.
Listening to the new release, you get to appreciate the fact that Odi wa Muranga is indeed one of the best lyricists in the country at the moment thanks to his amazing word play.
The video shot in a studio is simple and depicts a man full of regrets for not seizing the moment.
Barely a day after it premiered, the video is doing well and has over 5,000 views on YouTube, an indication that it is set to be a massive tune.
‘Waraka’ has been well executed and gives you the feeling that Odi wa Murang’a should consider pursuing a solo career, or invest more of his time on solo projects, in addition to his role at Boondocks Gang.
