Ghanaian artist wins international award; he's the first Ghanaian to win that award.

Ghanaian Gospel Artiste, Daniel Agyin,  popularly known as Goldmann, has raised the flag of Ghana by winning the International Male Rising Star of the Year Award of the just ended International Singer Songwriters Association (ISSA) 2020 Awards. 

The virtual  ceremony which was initially scheduled for 1st August was postponed to August 15 due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Goldmann became the first Ghanaian artiste to win such an award after his song, Nyame be ye, earned him the award. 

Although he won one out of three nominations, Goldmann still expressed delight over winning the award.

" I am really overjoyed for winning this prestigious award despite winning one of three nominations", he said.  He added that "All thanks to God first and also to my family, friends and fans for supporting me throughout this journey. I dedicate this  award to all of them."
