Nasty C has finally dropped his much anticipated album dubbed ‘Zulu Man with Some Power’. He celebrated the release of his album with a virtual release announcement hosted by South African media personality and actor, Pearl Thusi.
‘Zulu Man with Some Power’ is a trap hip-hop album. The 20 track album fuses a lot of African sounds and vocal instruments to create a work of art that can be appreciated by the hip-hop heads outside of Africa without taking away from where the album’s influences originate.
Nasty C delves into different things between the 20 songs; he looks into his relationship almost as a third party, he holds conversations with his father, he talks racism bridging it from America to Africa and he talks about his life as a musician; following his gut into artistry and where he is at. Between the 20 songs, Nasty C also records a freestyle as one of the songs.
The album features a couple of artists; T.I (on two songs), Tellaman, Ari Lennox, Rowlene, Lil Gotit and Lil Keed.
The album is a lot vibes and almost very different from Nasty C’s last album. We experience a lot of growth in the context of sound and delivery. Definitely recommend you catch this trappy vibe with Nasty C on ‘Zulu Man with Some Power’.
