Almost 2 months after ‘Another Day’ Kibera’s foremost rapper is back with another one for the fans.
The ‘Prezidential’ rapper returns with ‘Nikupate’ that delivers sunshine, vibez and huge helping of masterful bars. Octo as he is fondly referred to by his fans dropped the visuals to the track today (11.8.2020) a day after the exclusive audio release on android streaming app Audiomack.
Namba Nane’s finest and self-proclaimed Solo King integrates new and old as he combines the new Latino elctro Hi-Fi sound as the beats with the rhythmical sample of the Diana King 90’s Dancehall track ‘Shy Guy’. The result is an interesting hype sound, guaranteed to keep audiences entertained with his clever lyricism.
The visuals are striking with a contemporary dance trio presenting the dynamics of addiction, love and relationships; thanks to choreography developed by Tileh Pacbro. Art & video Direction was provided by Ondivoh Cinematography and it seems that the fans enjoy the new direction Octo is on. One commented on YouTube, ” Love the artistic nature of this song.”
The tracks comes after Pizzo announced that he would soon be releasing his album later this year in October; during his annual 8.08 New Year celebrations. The much awaited album will be the 5th studio album from the ‘Noma Ni’ lyricist. Speaking on an Instagram Live hosted by Owich Jr. dubbed ‘OCTO BARZ’ last Saturday (8.08.2020), Octopizzo mentioned that in the run-up to the album launch, he would be looking back at his previous work giving fans a chance to discuss his catalog and some of his most misunderstood lyrics.
