It has been many years since one of Hip-Hop legends from Death Row died. Over quarter a century since 2pac was gunned down, people still revel in his musical genius. It is also these many years later that we learn that he was ready to part ways with his record label Death Row.
Fat Joe has been having Instagram Live sessions to have musical and life chats with other artists. He hosted Keyshia Cole who revealed that as she was starting out her career a 15, she had met 2pac and they had had a conversation/connection.
Keyshia Cole revealed during the live that she had met 2pac through her brother, Nutt-so who rapped with Pac in the group Outlaw. She revealed that 2pac advised her not to sign with Death Row because it was not a label for kids and at the time she was 15.
She at this point revealed that 2pac revealed to her that he had made a decision to leave Death Row and sign with Quincy Jones. 2pac was also ready to tag Keyshia Cole along so that she could also sign with Quincy Jones. This did not however happen because 2pac was gunned down a year later just outside of the studio.
This is definitely interesting information and we continue to wonder what could have been of 2pac’s career had he moved from Death Row to Quincy Jones.
