Tanzanian music star Rich Mavoko has bounced back with a new 8-song minitape after being silent for over six months.
He launched his minitape over the weekend at the Hyatt Regency in Dar es Salaam.
So far, Mavoko has dropped audio versions for all the songs in the minitape, and one video.
The minitape has an array of music from; love, life lessons and thanksgiving. This article reviews some of the top songs from Mavoko’s minitape:
Niwahi
It is a song that highlights the plight of a man who is eyeing a hard to get girl. The ambience in the video is impeccable. It is the lead song in the minitape, and the only jam with a video so far.
Two days after it premiered, the video is doing extremely well and has over 379,000 views on YouTube.
Bad Boy Ft AY
‘Bad Boy’ is a love story of a man promising love to a girl deemed as a ‘bad girl’. The two artistes blend perfectly, with AY dropping his verse impeccably, justifying why he is one of the greatest artiste to ever grace Bongo music.

Lalama
This is a sad jam where a man decries lost love. Mavoko plays the role of the man and wonders why the lady left him at the first obstacle they faced, yet she had promised to stand by him in good and bad times.
Other songs in the Minitape include; Wa moto, Kolo, Baishoo and Silimisha.
