For more than 10 years, the artist Wura Samba has directed an ensemble of 7 Yorubas percussionists. Inspired by religious and traditional Yoruba themes, Wura Samba reworks them by adding influences, jazz, blues, afrobeat and traditional Sahelian music. The name Wura Samba comes from the dialect Yourouba, Wura means «gold» and Samba «percussions».

Depuis plus de 10 ans, l’artiste Wura Samba dirige un ensemble de 7 percussionnistes Yorubas. Inspiré des thèmes religieux et traditionnels Yoruba, Wura Samba les retravaille en y ajoutant des influences, jazz, blues, afrobeat et de la musique traditionnelle sahélienne. Le nom Wura Samba puise ses origines dans le dialecte Yourouba, Wura signifie « or » et Samba « percussions ».
