Jahmiel has been quite active the last couple of months and it doesn’t look like it will stop any time soon. He is back with a new single and video dubbed ‘Signs of the Time’ featuring Bugle.
‘Signs of the Time’ is a single about betrayal from the people around you; the government, your friends and the people within your circle. It feels like it is built on the simple context that, “it always be your own.”
The sound of ‘Signs of the Time’ is quite calm and a fusion of reggae and Miami RnB; it is built over the slow-paced calm RnB beat which translates to a slow paced reggae beat. This gives both Jahmiel and Bugle the field to switch up flow on their different verses in a Tony Rebel style; it is rapping but it is essentially singing in how it flows. The two artists have similar tones and ranges so they blend together very harmoniously.
The video is a great translation of the audio, lyrically; Jahmiel and Bugle are hanging out with their friends in the streets and in the studio. Other scenes are taken from Jahmiel and Bugle alone in the streets. This also incorporates some special effects that shift the skies which again is true to the lyrics.
