Trinidad Dancehall artist Rebel Sixx was shot at his home in Bon Air Gardens, an area called Bompton on Sunday night. The murder of the 26 year old artist is still under investigation.

Rebel Sixx was born Kyle Roberts and only started his music career three years ago. He had then moved to a new place after his mother moved and he had a government job at the time. He took a lot of time off to record his music and he was eventually fired. It was around this time that he blew up courtesy of his single ‘G City (St. Paul Street)’. The single was to inspire other kids who grow up there when they watch his story coming from nothing to something.

Rebel Sixx credits the likes of Vybz Kartel and Squash as some of his greatest musical influences. His manager describes him as a very hardworking artist. On one of his last interviews, Rebel Sixx stated that he was getting calls from the UK and all over the world to book him for shows and he was really looking forward to that.

The police report so far states that Rebel was at his home playing the PlayStation when two gunmen broke into his home at around 11:45pm. They gunned him down and the police found 17 gun shells on the scene.

May Rebel Sixx’s soul rest in peace as his music continues to live on for the Rebel and Dancehall fans.
