There is a lot happening in Kenya but at the very top is the Corona virus that is threatening the lives and livelihoods of many people. Pitson and Bire have a new song out that is here to remind us that all we need is one word from God for it all to be okay. The song is titled ‘Neno Moja’ and with it they have also released a beautiful video.

‘Neno Moja’ is a prayer in song asking God to do something for our country at the moment. In the words of Pitson and Bire, “Neno Moja (one Word) comes from Matthew 8:8; The centurion replied, "Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say one word, and my servant will be healed. It is a prayer song to God asking him to just speak a word and everything will change. The song was written in reference to the COVID 19 period.”

The song is put on very melodic rhumba/lingala beat. Both Pitson and Bire are strong vocalists and they both show out in this single both individually and when harmonizing. Listening to this song is calming which does not take away from the original reflective intent.

The video is as colourful as these two voices; it is shot against a blue backdrop and Pitson and Bire fit in with colourful monochromatic suits. They pull some lingala moves here and there throughout the video. The video has occasional flashes of the lyrics on the blue back-drop to the very end of the song.
