Award-winning Ugandan musician Eddy Kenzo has penned down a heartbreaking message expressing his concerns with how Ugandans and the government do not care about his well-being to bring him home.
The Big Talent boss had traveled to Ivory Coast for a concert and before he could come back, he was locked out of the country when President Yoweri Museveni ordered a total shutdown of the Entebbe International Airport, and all borders both on land and in the air in response to containing the spread of the Corona virus.
His fans including the Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga tried so much to bring him home, but all was in vain.
His dissatisfaction comes after a number of Ugandans stuck in the diaspora were flown back home, and different people made comments about how he was not important to be recognised by the government.
He, however, takes pride in the fact that other countries love and celebrate him every day.

"So the people who are saying that the government has shown me how less important I am, yes I may not be so useful In Uganda and I'm also aware about that, but there are countries that value me and they take pride in me as an African youth who has represented them well through my music.
"I thank God for the talent. I have been recognized before and I’ll always be recognized by those who believe that I have done something good for Uganda. You are all happy that I'm stuck in a foreign country but you should know that your children will make it easier because they know that Eddy Kenzo did it before so it's achievable. I just pray to God that the coming generation will appreciate me," Kenzo wrote.

Eddy Kenzo likened his situation to 2Pac, Bob Marley and Mike Jackson who he believes are making more sense today after being put down by the people in their generation.
