There is a lot happening in the country; the pandemic, a lot of corruption and on Frasha’s radar, a couple of people parading as gospel artists. Frasha expresses all this in his new single ‘Sina’ which, when you really listen to the song, is actually ‘Sinner’.
‘Sina’ is more like a prayer with Frasha presenting all these wrongs to God in the form of a conversation hoping that He will intervene. The single touches on a couple of topics such as; the pandemic and doctors at the forefront, the gospel industry or lack of it thereof and the corruption happening in the country.
‘Sina’ is a recorded spoken word piece with a very minimalistic beat that only fires up towards the end of the piece. It works out well for Frasha because he needs to articulate every single thing he is calling out and stating for us to be aware of.
In Frasha’s words, “Sina is a soulful deep spoken word themed song with charismatic strings that blend with the true stories being narrated by Frasha. The challenges we are facing as corona, health, sanitation and corruption.”
The video is fully focused on Frasha in solitude with just a few shots stepping away from him. It is shot in black and white with only a pop of colour from Frasha’s blazer and the included shots from the internet and the news. This simplistic transition into the video from audio intensifies the soul of the single.
Catch a vibe with Frasha on ‘Sina’.
