Early Life
Samini was born Emmanuel Andrews Sammini on the 22nd of December in 1981. He was born and raised in Dansoman, Accra, Ghana. He also attended school, both primary and high school in Ghana.
Career Background
Right from his school days, Samini was very much involved in music and such music activities. He was also known for creating such-like raves for other students.
He started singing in his church choir at the age of 14 which pretty much laid down the foundation for his career.
Music Career
Samini officially began his career after high school under the stage name ‘Batman’. Batman got his first record deal under Ashanti International.
In 2004, he released his first notable single dubbed ‘Linda’. ‘Linda’ did so well it propelled Batman to great heights of fame. This single saw him share the stage with great names in the Dancehall industry such as Shaggy, Bennie Man, Chaka Demus and even Jay Z.
In 2006, Batman rebranded and dropped his stage name to take up his now stage name, Samini. Samini then left his label to create and build his own record label, High Grade Label.
He has since gone on to build on the Dancehall genre in Ghana to the heights it is gotten to. Samini has also collaborated with many great artists within and outside of Ghana.
What is Samini Fest?
Samini has been holding an annual concert dubbed ‘Samini Fest’. The festival is meant to showcase Samini’s work and even so to bring together Ghanaian artists for people to experience the tasteful array music and sounds by other Ghanaian artists.

Samini Initiative
Samini has extended his philanthropic hand to the less developed communities in Ghana. His initiative has been giving and installing solar lanterns to these communities in a project dubbed ‘Light a Million Lives’.
