A lot has been happening in the world and especially now with the Black Lives Matter protests still going on. It has been dimmed a little tone deaf to be releasing material, even music that is not channeling the energy towards the movement. Therefore a couple of artists have been pushing their projects to be released at a later day, some announced and some with no dates. One such artist is Pop Smoke.

Pop Smoke’s manager, Steven Victor took to Instagram to announce that the team would not be releasing Pop’s much awaited album yet. This is in support of the BLM movement, just to respect the cause.

Pop Smoke was shot dead on February 19th at a house he was staying in. At that point he had unreleased music and so his team put it all together for a new album. The track list is yet to be released but fans have really been waiting for this album.

The protesters have been using his music, especially ‘Dior’ as one of the songs in their ‘radical’ playlist. The manager acknowledges that Pop’s music has become quite instrumental in the BLM movement.

The new album will drop on July the 3rd. In the meantime, the team will release some new music and continue supporting the BLM movement cause.
