Hopsin is back with a new single titled ‘Kumbaya’. ‘Kumbaya’ is the second single the rapper has released since coming from his one year hiatus from the music industry and he is definitely back with a lot of fire.

‘Kumbaya’ is a zen/not so zen song; the song you want to play to your alter ego when it is wilding and hoping to remind everyone around you that you are IT but hoping not to provoke them. Through the single Hopsin reminds us that he is a beast in what he does and no one can take that away from him.

Contrary to the almost calm nature of how ‘Kumbaya’ begins, Hopsin chose a very heavy and layered beat for the single; it has the step bass beat, it progresses fast and it transitions from the simple bass progressive drop to layering that with a strong bop fast-paced trap beat. Hopsin raps keeping up with the pace of the single.

The video is shot in Bali and has us following Hopsin through a journey of meditation and him living in the jungle alone and surviving. This follows through with his lyrics; he can easily be alone and no one will fumble with his bag or his status as a beast in the rap game.

His style of rapping and the delivery are so well executed that there is no one point you doubt that he is king in this game. Catch a vibe with Hopsin on ‘Kumbaya’.
