Jhene Aiko Releases Video For Single 'B.S' Featuring H.E.R

Jhene Aiko released her album ‘Chilombo’ and it was an unadulterated heart on the sleeves bleeding album. She has given us a video from a single from the album, ‘B.S’ and it is as unadulterated as the rest of the album.
‘B.S’, as the title suggests is a single about being in a toxic relationship and the process of unpacking the feelings to unlearn putting love into an unreciprocated situation and putting it back to yourself; learning how to love yourself again.
H.E.R and Jhene Aiko are very good at keeping their voices very nostalgic and melancholic and this leaves us to enjoy a single that is all these emotions that are befitting to the song. The sound is very alternative RnB (as is every other Jhene single). Jhene Aiko goes about her verses with her signature flow that is almost rapping but it is singing. She also does all the vocal harmonies on the single. H.E.R keeps her voice well-grounded and packs it with a lot of emotion. Their writing on this single is very complimentary.
The video is an animated video that depicts Jhene Aiko in her braids and H.E.R in her signature sun shades. There is the occasional flash of the song’s lyrics through the video. It is very creative and with every scene, Jhene and H.E.R are depicted in a very vivid like you could really be watching them way.
